Country singer Kelsea Ballerini will celebrate the release of her new album Patterns with an Oct. 29 performance at New York’s Madison Square Garden. Patterns, set to release Oct. 25, marks Ballerini’s latest project since 2023’s Rolling Up the Welcome Mat, a 16-minute EP that earned her a Best Country Album nod at the 2024 Grammys, and her 2022 album Subject to Change.

“The whole time I was making this album, I was visualizing and dreamscaping ways to bring it to life for our live show, and it was something I couldn’t wait more than five days after its release to do,” Ballerini said of Patterns in a statement.

Ballerini announced the show with a bittersweet video featuring her dog, Dibs, taking a helicopter tour of New York. In August, Ballerini shared news that Dibs was diagnosed with an inoperable cancer. “We filmed this a few weeks before we learned about dibby’s diagnosis, which makes this announcement even more emotional and sentimental,” she tweeted. “He sure did love getting to frolick around NYC and put his happy spirit into MSG to get it ready for us all.”

For Patterns, Ballerini called on a crew of powerhouse female artists: Songwriter Hall of Fame inductee Hillary Lindsey, songwriter Jessie Jo Dillon, and Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild. The 15-track album homes in on female friendships, moments of vulnerability, and unfiltered relationships.

“I feel creatively free and emotionally open,” Ballerini said in a statement. “Very awake to real life, and my patterns that contribute to my present reality. I’m ready to share that.”

Listeners have already received a taste of Ballerini’s intimate album. Her first single off the forthcoming album, “Cowboys Cry Too,” featuring Noah Kahan, released June 28 and delved into toxic masculinity and the beauty of letting your walls down. On Monday, Ballerini received two Country Music Association Awards nominations, including Female Vocalist of the Year and Musical Event of the Year for “Cowboys Cry Too” with Kahan. In her second single off Patterns, “Sorry Mom,” released Aug. 9, Ballerini apologizes for her past mistakes.

Tigerlily Gold and Aly & AJ will open the one-night show. General sale will begin on Ballerini’s birthday, Sept. 12, with presale beginning Sept. 9 at noon ET.
