Katie Holmes Wraps Up in Trench Coat for ‘Our Town’ Final Bow on Broadway
Katie Holmes was spotted outside New York’s Barrymore Theatre on Sunday, her final night of Broadway’s “Our Town” revival. She was wearing a classic black trench coat with fitted black pants. Her look was completed with oversize black shades and stylish black-and-white heels. She also carried a black tote bag.
Holmes played Mrs. Webb alongside star Jim Parsons in the acclaimed play that premiered in New York in October 2024 and had its final show on Sunday.

“Our Town” was directed by Kenny Leon and also starred Zoey Deutch, Ephraim Sykes, Billy Eugene Jones, Richard Thomas and more. “The final days of @ourtownbroadway are upon us,” Holmes wrote in an Instagram post. “I am so grateful for these beautiful souls that continue to bring Thornton’s words to life. I love you @therealjimparsons.”
When it comes to style, the actress, who shot to stardom in the 2000s with “Dawson’s Creek,” is known for gravitating toward traditional silhouettes with a contemporary edge. But she also regularly experiments with shape and color.
At the 2024 CFDA Awards, Holmes wore a bright pink and red Carolina Herrera gown with diagonal cutouts at the waist. At the 2019 Met Gala with the theme “Celebrating Camp: Notes on Fashion,” she wore a Zac Posen dress with purple and black colorways, a column silhouette and a voluminous shirt that flared out from just under the waist. In 2014, she attended the “Charles James: Beyond Fashion” Met Costume Institute Gala in a billowing mustard-yellow off-the-shoulder Marchesa gown.
