Kanye West Sued For Allegedly Calling YZY Employees “New Slaves”
Kanye West has been sued for creating a hostile working environment and failing to pay his YZY employees while his wife sent porn to the staff. TMZ shared legal documents that named West and his former chief of staff, Milo Yiannopoulos, as defendants in the case. However, despite the accusations against her, Censori was not listed as a defendant. April 2024 was the beginning of the ordeal as Ye geared up to create his own adult entertainment business called YZY Porn and a streaming service for his music called YZYVSN. Yiannopoulos and West hired a group of Black international developers, including some minors, to work on the apps.
To celebrate their foray into the adult entertainment lane, Censori proceeded to send the staff hardcore pornographic videos via a file-sharing link with no way to prevent themselves from interacting with the content. The suit also claims that West never followed through on paying his employees for their work on the YZY Porn or YZYVSN apps, stating they experienced “forced labor and cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment.”
The suit doubled down on claims that Ye and Milo fostered a hostile work environment, alleging that the men hired white managers to oversee their mostly Black staff. These white bosses allegedly mocked the employees by giving them job titles like “New Slaves,” with Milo even referring to one of the employees as a “school shooter.”
Yiannopoulos is accused of trying to pay $120,000 to the developers if they agreed to the unhinged working conditions and didn’t file complaints about what they experienced working at YZY. West was no stranger to this kind of tactic, as the musician was also accused of trying to have the employees sign NDAs to silence them.
“Ye ordered all employees to sign non-disclosure agreements, threatening to fire the minors and refusing to pay them if they didn’t. Minor developers were also required to sign ‘volunteer’ agreements,” the legal doc reads.
Throughout this chaos, the suit states that the development group finished one version of YZYVSN and gave it to Ye. But Ye allegedly didn’t pay the workers for their labor.
This lawsuit arrived a couple of weeks after Ye’s ex-assistant sued him for sexual harassment. Lauren Pisciotta claimed she was making “seven figures” working on OnlyFans and that Ye offered her $1,000,000 to leave her OF career and work as his assistant. Pisciotta’s lawsuit alleged that from the moment she began working for the Chicago artist in 2021, he began misbehaving in the workplace, as he allegedly sent her explicit texts showing himself masturbating. One of the texts allegedly included him bizarrely ranting about his penis, reading, “See my problem is I am wanting to f**k but then after I f**k, I want a girl to tell me how hard they have been f**ked while I’m f**king them. Then I want her to cheat on me.”
Another alleged message reads, “Is my d*ck racist? I’m going to stare at pictures of white women with black a**es and beat the sh*t out of my racist d*ck.”
According to TMZ, West would later respond to the suit, claiming that the allegations were fabricated and only meant to extort him for money. “In response to these baseless allegations, Ye will be filing a lawsuit against Ms. Pisciotta, who actively pursued him sexually to coerce employment and other material benefits, then engaged in blackmail and extortion when her advances were rejected,” a rep stated.
