‘And Just Like That’ fake filming notices with outrageous plots posted around NYC: ‘Gonna be wild’
Confusion and the city.
As Season 3 of the “Sex and the City” spinoff show “And Just Like That” approaches, fans in NYC have been left scratching their heads, as fake production notices have been posted all over Manhattan featuring outrageous “plot details” from the upcoming season.
One, which noted the date and time of filming, included “project details” that read, “At brunch with the girls, Carrie reveals that she is Garfield the cat.”
“After getting hit by a Citi Bike, Carrie retains Fletcher Reede (Jim Carrey) from ‘Liar Liar’ as her lawyer,” another notice proclaimed.
A third stated, “Carries goes on a bad date with Mr. Bean (the character) and then accidentally sends him a nude.”
It isn’t clear if the notices are from the show’s official marketing department, or if they’re a rogue fan’s handiwork.
“WHO is making these fake ‘And Just Like That’ filming notices,” one person wrote on X, formerly Twitter, posting a snapshot of the notices.
Another viewer posted, “New season of ‘Sex and The City’ is gonna be wild.”
“And Just Like That” follows Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Charlotte York (Kristin Davis) and Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon) as they navigate love, sex and life in their 50s.
The plot has taken some wild turns: the show killed off Mr. Big, and Miranda left Steve to be with Che (Sara Ramirez), a queer nonbinary podcaster comedian who was a controversial character.
But the series hasn’t gotten as surreal as the supposed “plot details” outlined in the filming notices.
The Season 3 premiere date has not yet been announced, but is expected in 2025.
Rosie O’Donnell, Logan Marshall-Green, Mehcad Brooks (“True Blood”) and Jonathan Cake (“Desperate Housewives”) have joined the cast.
Meanwhile, Sara Ramirez will not return, and neither will Karen Pittman. Although it was initially speculated that Ramirez was fired due to comments about the Israel-Hamas war, a source close to the production revealed to the Daily Mail that Che has always been on the chopping block.
“Sara was not fired because they support Palestine and the cease-fire,” the source told the outlet. “Sara was fired because Che brought nothing to the show anymore. After Che split with Miranda, the character really held no value anymore and fans found them annoying.”
Pittman’s departure from the show was announced in March. After playing professor Nya Wallace for two seasons, Pittman, who is also on “The Morning Show,” had to exit “AJLT” due to scheduling conflicts.
Kim Cattrall also recently denied that she is reprising her role as Samantha Jones after her brief cameo in Season 2.
“Aw that’s so kind but I’m not,” Cattrall wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, responding to a report that claimed she’ll be appearing on Season 3.
The Post reached out to reps from Max and “And Just Like That” for comment.
