“With the Nublar Five stowed away on a dinosaur-filled cargo ship headed to parts unknown, their mission to find who is after them sets them on a collision course with the mysterious Broker,” reads the synopsis for Season 2. “Unaware that Brooklynn is alive, the discovery of her whereabouts will call into question everything they thought they knew about each other.”
The animated series serves as a direct sequel to the animated series Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous (2020-2022), which followed dinosaur fanatic Darius Bowman (Paul-Mikél Williams) as he’s invited to attend the titular dinosaur-themed adventure camp after completing a Jurassic World video game. When the dinosaurs break free from their habitats, Darius and his fellow campers become stranded on the island and have to find a way out alive.
Chaos Theory premiered in May, taking place six years later as the survivors are “struggling to find their footing off the islands, navigating a world now filled with dinosaurs and people who want to hurt them.” Both shows are set between the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) and Jurassic World: Dominion (2022).
From showrunners Scott Kreamer and Aaron Hammersley and executive producers Steven Spielberg, Colin Trevorrow and Frank Marshall, the DreamWorks Animation series also features the voices of Sean Giambrone, Darren Barnet, Raini Rodriguez, Kausar Mohammed and Kiersten Kelly.
