Juno Awards: Josh Ross, Tate McRae Lead With Five Nominations
Josh Ross and Tate McRae lead the nominations for the 2025 Juno Awards, Canada’s version of the Grammys, which were announced on Tuesday.
Other multiple nominees included Shawn Mendes and The Weeknd earning four nods each. In the best singles category, Ross will challenge with “Single Again” and Mendes has “Why Why Why” in contention against McRae with “exes” and The Weeknd and Playboi Carti’s “Timeless.”

Ross also has Complicated and McRae has Think Later contending in the best album competition. Ross, McRae, The Weeknd and Mendes will also vie against one another in the best artist competition.
Elsewhere, the Juno Fan Choice category, voted on by ordinary movie lovers, has nominations for The Weeknd, McCrae, Mendes, Ross, bbno$, Dean Brody, Jade Eagleson, Karan Aujla, Les Cowboys Fringents Les Disques and Preston Pablo.
The nominations were unveiled by The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences ahead of the Junos being presented on March 30 in Vancouver. The 2025 Junos, to be produced by Insight Productions, will air live on the CBC network and will be hosted by Michael Bublé.
This year’s Junos will also honor Grammy-winning Toronto producer Boi-1da with an International Achievement Award, and this year’s ceremony will also give singer-songwriter Sarah Harmer the Humanitarian Award, while rockers Sum 41 will be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
