Julianne Hough's husband Brooks Laich clarifies comments about exploring his sexuality
Julianne Hough's husband Brooks Laich is clarifying his comments about exploring his sexuality.
In January, Laich said one of his 2020 goals was to "really explore learning about sexuality" on his podcast "How Men Think."
In an upcoming episode of the podcast, the professional hockey player, 36, is clarifying what he meant.
"Nothing dirty can exist between two people in love," Laich explained, according to E! News and People. "A big part of my journey in 2020 is exploring my sexuality, and by that I don’t mean if I’m gay or straight. I mean, like, in my sexual relationship. What is my sexuality? What am I craving, what are my desires and what are my wife’s?”
He continued, “And how could we have this language to feed each other and get everything we want and be sexually expressed to the nth degree in everything?"
Laich added, the outlets report, that his journey is about "discovering and learning and figuring out my capacity for sexual feelings," which had been "very low" on his priority list before.
"When you say sexuality, culture or society thinks it's gay or straight. Some people are figuring that out, that's fine," he said. "Through doing this show and also through my wife, who's exploring this as well, and shared a lot of this with me and has perked my interest in it."

Hough, who has been married to Laich since 2017, opened up about parts of her sexuality last summer. She revealed to Women's Health how she told Laich that she's "not straight."
“I (told him), ‘You know I’m not straight, right?’ And he was like, ‘I’m sorry, what?’ I was like, ‘I’m not. But I choose to be with you,’ ” she said.
“I think there’s a safety with my husband now that I’m unpacking all of this, and there’s no fear of voicing things that I’ve been afraid to admit or that I’ve had shame or guilt about because of what I’ve been told or how I was raised,” she continued.
She added that she was nervous to tell her husband, but that he's been by her side since he found out.
A month after the news broke, Hough, 31, gave an update to how she was feeling about coming out in an interview with Extra.
"Honestly, I feel really lucky and a lot of people who don't have the platform or the support that I have aren't that lucky," she said. "I just want to say I'm super grateful for my family, my friends and the support from all my fans that I've had."
