Julia Fox Says She'll 'Do Anything for a Look' — So She Changed into Second Oscars Party Dress 'On the Side of the Road'

Julia Fox is sharing the secret behind her post-Oscars quick-change.

In conversation with Entertainment Tonight, the actress, 35, revealed that drastic measures were required in order to make it from the Vanity Fair Oscar Party to the Elton John AIDS Foundation's Academy Awards viewing party.

"I changed on the side of the road," said Fox. "Yeah, I was butt a-- naked on the side of the road. I'll do anything for a look."

Of her outfit AIDS Foundation's Academy Awards viewing party, the Uncut Gems actress said, "This is like a swept away, like a gust of wind hit me." The star appeared in a wind-swept white button-down shirt, maroon tie and gray skirt. Her blonde wig was also styled into tousled waves.

"We're in Hollywood, it's about drama," she added about the high-fashion look. "It's about theater. It's about performance. I think it's easy to just put on a dress and look pretty or beautiful or hot and I don't really aspire to that."

On the Vanity Fair Oscars party red carpet, Fox turned heads in a sheer slip dress designed by Dilara Findikoglu. The dress featured strategically placed locks of hair wound around her waist as she posed for cameras. She teamed the look with nude pumps and a brunette wig featuring sweeping bangs.

Nearly-nude looks were a big trend at this year’s Oscars. Don't Worry Darling director and star Olivia Wilde, 40, also stepped out at the party with tons of skin on display in a boho-chic frock from British fashion house Chloé.

Rapper Doja Cat, 29, meanwhile, wore a sheer dress dripping with crystals for her performance of Shirley Bassey's "Diamonds Are Forever" during the James Bond tribute at this year's Academy Awards.

Earlier this year, Fox, who is known for her unconventional looks, appeared at the Jan. 16 New York premiere of her upcoming movie Presence in a fresh new pixie cut inspired by Jim Carrey's famous alter ego Ace Ventura. The star revealed to Page Six that she cut it herself.

“I was going for Ace Ventura, like sleazy guy, I don’t know, I’m just into that right now," she said on the red carpet.
