Joy Behar responds after Kid Rock called her a 'bitch' on 'Fox & Friends'
On Friday’s Fox & Friends, host Steve Doocy was live at Kid Rock’s bar in Nashville. And when Doocy asked the musician, real name Bob Ritchie, his thoughts on President Trump and the current state of the union, Ritchie said there’s too much division in the country.
“It is so hard for people to get past that we can disagree and still be cordial with one another,” Ritchie said. “People need to calm down, get a little less politically correct and, I would say, you know, love everybody. Except, screw that Joy Behar bitch.”
Everyone with Fox & Friends was quick to apologize, with Doocy immediately stating, “You cannot say that. We apologize for that.”
In the New York City studio, co-host Ainsley Earhardt also referenced Kid Rock’s comments.
“We do need to apologize. We don’t feel that way about Joy Behar,” Earhardt said. “We don’t condone that language.”
Speaking of language, that’s the only thing Ritchie did apologize for when pressed about it.
“I did apologize for the language. Not the sentiment,” Ritchie said.
Part of Ritchie’s backpedaling also included his saying he was “joking” and suggested that he could go on to Behar’s show, The View, to “hash it out.”
The The View went live a couple of hours later, and Behar had this to say:
“All I can say is, this bitch and these bitches will be happy to have you on the show and have a beer. Come on down.”
Fox & Friends airs weekdays on Fox. The View airs weekdays on ABC.
