Jon Cryer, Melanie Lynskey, more join Concert for America for LA wildfires fundraiser

Concert for America is deepening its patriotism by contributing to relief efforts for victims of the Los Angeles wildfires.
The Inauguration Day concert event will now raise funds for the California Community Foundation, an organization supporting wildfire recovery efforts to aid those most in need, producers Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley Jackson announced in a press release Wednesday.
Emmy-winning actor Jon Cryer and his wife, television personality Lisa Joyner, will helm the LA fundraiser with virtual appearances from a star-studded lineup that includes Melanie Lynskey, Jason Ritter, Julie Bowen, Adam Scott, Caroline Rhea and more.
The event will include musical performances from Wayne Brady, Cheyenne Jackson, Rachel Bay Jones and Carly Hughes.
"The full impact of the ongoing devastation in Los Angeles is unknown, but we know the need for support will continue for months and even years to come," Rudetsky and Jackson said in a joint statement. "We could not have a benefit event without acknowledging this crisis, hearing from our friends and colleagues across the country, and giving back the best way we know how."
Multiple blazes have erupted across LA since Jan. 7, obliterating neighborhoods and leaving a catastrophic trail of destruction. At least 25 people have died in the fires. About 82,400 county residents remained under mandatory evacuation orders and another 90,400 were under evacuation warnings, Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna said Wednesday.
The National Weather Service issued a "particularly dangerous situation" red flag warning for Los Angeles and Ventura counties that is expected to last through Wednesday afternoon. Wind gusts in the mountains were forecast to peak at 50-70 mph, according to the weather service. Coastal and valley areas were expected to see winds up to 50 mph.
A slew of celebrities is joining Concert for America for its in-person portion in New York, which will feature appearances from Ingrid Michaelson, Richard Kind, Cecily Strong, Rosie Perez, Nina West and many more.
"Concert for America has always been about uniting our artistic community to raise awareness and funds for those who are facing adversity, and the organizations who are working tirelessly to do the same," Rudetsky and Jackson said.
Several human rights advocacy organizations will be highlighted during the event, including the Sierra Club, Southern Poverty Law Center, The National Immigration Law Center, Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights, Spill the Honey, A Is For and others.
Concert for America will be held at The Town Hall in New York City on Monday at 7 p.m. General admission ticket prices start at $35. Special donation packages are also available and offer access to VIP seating, a preshow party, autographed memorabilia and more. Visit the Concert for America website for more information.
The event's livestream will be available on StarsInTheHouse.com and the Stars in the House YouTube page.
