Joe Budden Calls Drake A “Corpse” For Posting Video Of Him To “Plot Twist” Finsta Account
Joe Budden has taken issue with Drake posting him on his “plotttttwisttttt” Finsta (fake Instagram) account, declaring that he refuses to go back and forth with a “corpse.”
Budden’s reaction came via his Joe Budden Podcast, where called out The Boy Wednesday (Feb. 12) for sharing a video of him stepping out of a car and smoking a cigarette as he walks into a venue, captioning the clip, “$$$HITTING MEEEEEE.”
Taking the post as a shot, Budden established that he won’t be engaging beyond this reply, especially since Drake wasn’t able to handle the various rappers who took real shots at him over the past year.
“Drake, don’t shoot at me now that you’re ice cold,” he began, according to a transcript from TSR. “I’m not doing the back and forth with a corpse…Don’t go get shot all year and then pop up like Bernie in Weekend at Bernie’s wanting to shoot at me now. No ni**a, go spin. Spin the f**king block.”
He later added, “99 ni**as done jumped on your a**, you out smoking hookah in turquoise boots. Don’t post me.”
Budden’s choice to call Drake a “corpse” can be seen as a reference to the Toronto native’s recent declaration that he’s “still alive” during the Perth stop of his Australian Anita Max Win Tour. “My name is Drake. I started in 2008, I came all the way from Toronto, Canada. The year is now 2025, and Drizzy Drake is very much still alive,” he told the crowd.
Drake’s reminder came ahead of primary rap nemesis Kendrick Lamar shutting down his Super Bowl Halftime Show performance while dissing Drizzy directly with his hit record, “Not Like Us,” even taunting the melodic rapper over his UMG lawsuit, where he accuses his own label of defamation for distributing the track.
