Jodie Sweetin Admits She Got Caught Stealing From ‘Fuller House’ Set
Jodie Sweetin recently made a bold admission when asked whether she stole anything from the set of Fuller House.
The Full House spinoff wrapped up filming in November 2019 after five seasons. Before cast members left the set for a final time, Sweetin—who portrayed Stephanie Tanner in both the sequel and original sitcom—tried to snatch a souvenir.
“I took the head of that weird little statue that sat at the base of the stairs,” Sweetin, 42, told People in an Aug. 22 article. “I attempted to take the whole thing, but it was rather unwieldy the night of the wrap of the show, and hard to get out of there without anyone noticing that I was carrying a giant statue.”
However, the statue fondly known as "Sea Pappy" didn't make it far.
“I got stopped with the head in my car,” Sweetin explained. “And they were like, ‘You can't take that until we inventory it.’ So, I tried to steal the Sea Pappy head, basically.”
As Sweetin detailed during a 2021 appearance on Bob Saget's Here for You podcast, she was ultimately able to take Sea Pappy's head home a few weeks later after inventory was taken. She told Saget—who portrayed her onscreen father, Danny Tanner—that she also snatched a wall hanging from the Fuller House set that read, "Love Is All We Need" and the original Mr. Bear.
Meanwhile, John Stamos, 61, who played "Uncle" Jesse Katsopolis stole two iconic pieces from the Full House and Fuller House sets.
"We were building a bathroom on our house and I said, "Oh I have these old doors from Full House," Stamos admitted during a 2022 appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show. "But every time I walk out of the bathroom I expect people to clap and applause, you know when you make an entrance on a sitcom."
Even more epic? Stamos managed to take home the iconic blue-and=white checkered loveseat
