Joan Collins on Being One of Cara Delevigne’s 16 Godparents

On the Watch What Happens Live After Show Tuesday, actress and writer Joan Collins talked about being a godparent to model-turned-actress Cara Delevigne. Collins is one of 16 godparents for Delevigne. Yes, you read that correctly, 16.

The christening was 23 years ago, but Collins recalls the reasoning behind Cara’s parents decision. “I asked, her parents are really good friends of mine ‘why do you have so many godparents?’ and they said ‘in case any of them die’” she told host Andy Cohen.

Custody isn’t an issue at this point with Cara being an adult and all. Regardless sometimes it can seem as though one might get lost in the shuffle with all of those godparents. But Delevigne certainly thinks highly of her godmother, and has referenced advice she received from Collins in past interviews.
