Jennifer Aniston walks out on interview with Adam Sandler: 'You bought your co-stars Maseratis?'
The sleuthing Spitzes have another international case to crack in “Murder Mystery 2,” streaming Friday on Netflix.
Nick (Adam Sandler) and Audrey Spitz (Jennifer Aniston), now aspiring private investigators, have been invited to the wedding of their pal, the showboating Maharajah Vikram Govindan (Adeel Akhtar). The Spitzes' luxurious vacation on Vik’s private tropical oasis takes a turn when the Maharajah is abducted before his nuptials.
While the identity of the kidnapper will likely have viewers guessing until the end, what’s less opaque is how the sequel's stars feel about each other after nearly 35 years of friendship. They met in their early 20s at Los Angeles’ now defunct Jerry's Famous Deli, and have collaborated on three films, beginning with “Just Go With It” (2011).
“He really takes care of me,” says Aniston, 54, when asked her favorite thing about Sandler, 56. “When he loves you, he loves you deeply and cares for you deeply. So I always feel very taken care of.”

For Sandler, it’s his friend’s “knowledge on what would make me smell better.”
“Feel better,” Aniston corrects. “Oh, yeah, both,” says Sandler.
It’s not a Hollywood friendship. He says he has the Vital Proteins bars Aniston collaborated on in his fridge. She praises his stand-up work as “brilliant” and estimates she’s seen his 2018 comedy special “100% Fresh” at least nine times. She also talked it up to U2 frontman Bono.
Aniston and Sandler support and roast each other in impressive measure in a short interview conducted over video.
For the first “Murder Mystery” in 2019, Aniston asked her co-star to apply beard oil to prep for their kissing scenes. For their second go-around, Sandler jokes, he asked her, “ ‘For God's sake, keep your mouth closed.' It was so wide! Every time, she’d come with a big, wide mouth, and I'd be like, ‘Whoa-ho-ho-ho-ho, whoa! What are we doing?’ ”
Jennifer Aniston isn't just looking good. She wants you to know she's feeling good. Here's how.

While Aniston’s kisses didn’t pose any real threat, Sandler did suffer a few blows at the hands (and feet) of his co-stars while filming the action comedy. “Jennifer kicked me in the ribs one take,” Sandler reveals. Mark Strong, who plays a former MI6 agent, punched Sandler in the face during an action sequence.
“All accidents!” says Aniston.
Strong “didn’t mean it, but it did happen,” says Sandler. “He cracked me good.”
Despite taking those hits, it seems Sandler is the one who has some making up to do. The comedian famously bought his “Grown Ups” co-stars Kevin James, Chris Rock and David Spade pricey Maseratis after the debut of their 2010 comedy, a fact that shocks Aniston during the interview.
“You didn't get the Maserati yet?” Sandler nervously asks his open-mouthed co-star. “When you get home tonight!”
“You bought your co-stars Maseratis?” Aniston asks in disbelief.
“You want to know the truth with Jennifer? I bought her three Ferraris,” Sandler says setting up a premise. “Every time I wheel it up there, some guy comes out and goes, ‘Hey, get that out of here,’ and I'm like, ‘No, no, this is a gift.’ ”
Aniston walks off screen before Sandler can finish.
“And the guy goes, 'Let's go, keep it moving.' So I ghost ride it down the hill.”

Sandler calls to his friend, still off-camera: “Jennifer, don't you do this to me! You got three Ferraris!”
“It’s OK, it’s all right,” says the “Friends” alum, returning to her director’s chair. “I don’t need fancy things.”
But it might convince her to commit to another installment of “Murder Mystery,” if Netflix is interested.
“I don't know if I'm doing a third one!” she teases of continuing the franchise. “I have now to think about this.”
“No, she knows how much I love her, and I've got you many, many nice gifts over the years,” Sandler clarifies.
“I’m kidding,” Aniston says. “I couldn’t care less. I loved that scarf.”
