Jenn Tran Takes the Stage on Dancing With the Stars, Aims to Heal From Heartbreak
Jenn Tran made her big debut on the Season 33 premiere of Dancing With the Stars. She jumped at the opportunity to join the dancing competition despite not having any formal training.
Making Her Dreams Come True
Jenn hopes that learning how to dance will give her a healthy distraction. During the Tuesday, September 17th premiere, the former Bachelorette and dance pro Sasha Farber danced to “Flowers” by Miley Cyrus. It’s the perfect anthem for someone who went through a public breakup. Jenn joined the show to make her dreams of dancing come true.
“It’s all happening, truly couldn’t be more grateful. Words can’t describe how long I’ve been wanting this moment,” Jenn explained in her Instagram post. “To be part of something bigger than myself and to fulfill a lifelong dream of (attempting) to learn how to dance.”
The ABC personality shared a montage of adorable moments with Sasha on and off the dancefloor. In her caption, she thanked her fans for their support. In her dance package, Jenn shared another reason why she wanted to be part of the dance competition.
Public Heartbreak
She wanted to heal from her public heartbreak. Following the season finale of The Bachelorette, she learned that she was going to be part of the Season 33 cast. Jenn is hot off her breakup with ex-fiance Devin Strader, who dumped her after winning the dating series.
The reality star hasn’t had time to process the breakup. Jenn started rehearsing for a full week straight. She’s also adjusting to the live aspect of reality TV, which is a lot to take in for someone who went through a public breakup.
The New Jersey native’s life changed in just a few months. However, unlike most of Bachelor Nation, her heart isn’t set on fame. She’s still studying to become a physician’s assistant—her second passion.
Season 33 of Dancing with the Stars airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST on ABC and Disney+.
