Jelly Roll Makes Bold Declaration About Popular Social Media App
Jelly Roll looks to be officially done with at least one of the more popular social media apps, and he's going out with a bang.
Over the weekend, the "I Am Not Okay" crooner blasted X (formerly Twitter) as "the most toxic negative app to exist ever" and suggested he would no longer be an active user of the app owned by Elon Musk.

"This is for sure the most toxic negative app to exist ever — PERIOD. lol," the 39-year-old artist began in a statement shared to the social media platform on Sunday, Oct. 20. "This place is different man, I always heard it was the Wild West on here but man it’s insane," he continued, "It’s a safe place for everyone to say mean shit to each other with no consequences."
Jelly Roll concluded, "I’m out lol."
Just a few minutes prior to making the big announcement, Jelly Roll had shared a "crazy" photo of himself posing with several other recognizable faces, including Jack Black, Will Ferrell and Howie Mandel. People in the comments immediately began picking apart the photo, suggesting some of the big names were "looking uncomfortable" or like they didn't want to be there—claims the country crooner later pushed back against.
It's currently unclear what led to the musician's revelation about the platform, but his decision is not all that surprising when you consider that, six months ago, his wife and podcaster Bunnie Xo said that he had been "bullied off" social media after receiving "countless" negative comments about his weight.
In an April 2024 episode of her Dumb Blonde podcast, the internet personality said: "My husband got off the internet because he is so tired of being bullied about his...weight, and that makes me want to cry, because he is the sweetest angel baby. My husband doesn’t show it to you guys, but I’m going to have a very vulnerable moment here. It hurts him."
"The internet can say whatever...they want about you and they say, ‘You’re a celebrity. You’re supposed to be able to handle it.’ No [we're] not," she added at the time. "Enough is enough."
"Don’t bully people, because you never know where they are mentally. There are a lot of people who are not as strong as me, that are on the internet, and they don’t deserve to...be bullied."
