‘Jason Bourne’ Super Bowl Teaser: Short, Sweet, Punching
You can set your Bourne puns aside, as the previously untitled Jason Bourne sequel now has an official name to go along with the new teaser that dropped during Super Bowl 50: Jason Bourne. Though to be honest, I was kind of hoping it would either be Bourne Free, or Bourne On The Fourth of July. Oh, well. It’s short and to the point: Universal’s super spy is back, and engaging in underground fights, and he’s needed for something. Persumably something that involves being highly competent and not needing to rely on his long term memory. I’m in, completely. Watch the trailer above.
Reuniting The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum dynamic duo of director Paul Greengrass and franchise star Matt Damon, Jason Bourne brings the titular super spy into the current decade in a story that has been described as drawing influence from the Edward Snowden controversy. Tommy Lee Jones, Alicia Vikander, Vincent Cassel, Julia Stiles and Ato Essandoh also star.
Greengrass co-wrote the script with Christopher Rouse and Damon. Frank Marshall and Jeffrey Weiner will produce for Captivate Entertainment with Greengrass, Damon, Greg Goodman and Ben Smith also producing and Rouse and Henry Morrison executive producing.
