January Jones Ditches Her Famous Blonde Bob for Honey-Toned Messy Bun in New Photo

The 'Mad Men' actress has switched up her style quite a few times over the past year

January Jones is showing off her latest look!

On Wednesday, Sept. 18, the Mad Men alum, 46, showed off her darker honey-toned hair in a new photo shared to her Instagram Stories.

Jones, known for her signature blonde bob, smiled for the camera in the image, wearing her hair on top of her head in a messy bun with long bangs parted down the middle.

The actress covered her eyes with a pair of oval-shaped sunglasses and donned a bright red cardigan in the snap, which showed her sitting on a patterned chair. Jones teamed the '80s-style look with a pair of dark gray hotpants and thick cream socks featuring a red stripe.

Jones recently teased her new locks while celebrating her son Xander Dane's 13th birthday on Friday, Sept. 13. The star, who has never publicly shared the identity of Xander's father, rarely posts about her son on social media.

To celebrate his milestone birthday on Friday, Jones posted a snap of them posing in front of a sunset while covering her son's face with a basketball emoji, writing, “Bday boy is a teen ??.”

In January, Jones revealed she'd swapped her usual 'do for a shorter platinum style, sharing a photo of herself in a pale yellow sweater with a diamond tennis necklace layered with a silver pendant chain, which she paired with a couple of silver hoop earrings.

The shot was shared to mark her 46th birthday, with the actress thanking celebrity hairstylist Bridget Brager, who has worked with her to reinvent her look many times before.

“@bridgetbragerhairalways knows what I need for my bday, a fresh cut to make me feel cute ?? u,” Jones wrote.

Jones has switched up her 'do quite a few times recently, changing from her shoulder-length bob to a shaggy pixie cut in May 2023, before debuting her platinum icy blonde hair that July.

In July of this year, the actress was still rocking her blonde locks, as she shared multiple photos on Instagram of herself wearing a red and white bikini while sitting on a hanging egg chair in a garden.

One shot posted on July 14 showed Jones smiling for the camera while wearing the striped two-piece, a red cap and gold pendant, as a second photo showed her beaming and looking up toward the sky while wearing the same ensemble. A third image showed her grinning again as she stepped off the chair on to the grass.
