James Corden fires back after troll tweets 'I hope his kid gets cancer'
James Corden is speaking up after an anonymous troll crossed the line and wished ill on the TV personality’s children.
The Late Late Show host was targeted by an angry Twitter commenter who blasted the “fat f**k” for referencing a plot point from Sunday’s episode of Game of Thrones while making a joke about Donald Trump’s tariff war with China. Though the commenter admitted having already watched the episode, he or she accused Corden of “spoiling” the show for Game of Thrones fans.
But it was the troll’s next comment that sparked outcry from Corden and his fans.
Don't worry, everyone! President Trump knows exactly how to get out of this trade war with China... pic.twitter.com/B0LBrxQEbW

The inflammatory post has since been deleted, but read, “It’s f****d up you can’t even watch TV without a fat f**k spoiling something. Luckily I got to see it before this, but seriously I hope his kid gets cancer.”
Though the hateful message was posted on the Twitter account for The Late Late Show, Corden responded from his personal account. The 40-year-old father of three called the cancer jab “the single most upsetting thing I think you could ever say about me or my family” and shamed the troll for writing it.
That is, without question, the single most upsetting thing I think you could ever say about me or my family. Please take a minute and think about what you just wrote and whether you want to be a person who publicly says such things.I believe you’re better than that x

But the troll was defiant, firing back, “It was a joke, you know like this segment was.” That tweet has also been deleted.
A clearly disgusted Corden responded by tweeting, “My hope for [your child] is that they never get to read that their mother or father would wish cancer on any child as a ‘a joke.’”
Well I saw your hope for my https://t.co/sXNdumvMFm hope for yours is that they never get to read that their mother or father would wish cancer on any child as ‘a joke’.Because however you defend it to them, they’ll never be able to understand how you could do such a thing.Night x

He wasn’t the only one outraged by the cancer comment, which his fans called “sick” and “pure, unadulterated, fully baked venom of the worst lowliest kind.” Many praised him for taking the high road.
You are the bigger man, James. My family and I love you.
