Jack Nicholson Makes Rare Public Appearance to Catch Lakers Game with Son Ray
Jack Nicholson and his son Ray stepped out for their favorite father-son activity on Monday.
The duo took their usual seats courtside as the Los Angeles Lakers took on the Golden State Warriors at Staples Center. Though their hometown team fell to Stephen Curry and the Warriors, Nicholson, 81, and Ray, 26, seemed to be having a ball as they ate french fries and burgers.
Nicholson wore his trademark all-black outfit and rose-colored glasses while Ray stepped out in a lilac denim shirt with a white tee underneath and black jeans.

Nicholson is rarely seen at public events except when it comes to Lakers games, where he’s often joined by Ray.
The longtime actor hasn’t appeared in any projects since 2010’s How Do You Know and told The Sun in a 2013 interview that he’s less motivated to “be out there any more.”
“The movie business is the greatest business but I only want to do films that move people, films about emotions and people,” he added.
Since then, Nicholson signed on to do a Toni Erdmann remake in early 2017, but dropped out of the film in August of this year.
His son Ray, on the other hand, is trying his hand at the family business and appeared in the season finale of Mayans M.C. last November. Creator Kurt Sutter spoke to Entertainment Weekly about casting the acting icon’s son.
“We’re buddies. I’m mentoring him,” Sutter said of Ray, whose mother is Rebecca Broussard. “He’s such a sweet kid who’s a really good actor. And it was so fun for him. He doesn’t know the world, right? I think it was more about the experience of putting on that kutte and hanging out with those guys for a night. It was just an education for him.”
Nicholson had son Ray with actress Rebecca Broussard, 55, who he also shares daughter Lorraine, 28, with.
