Here Are Your J Award Nominees For 2024

triple j has unveiled the full list of nominees for its 2024 J Awards, also marking the 20th anniversary of the annual extravaganza honouring the best in Aussie music.

The J Awards are divided up into a just a small handful of five categories, including Australian Album of the Year, Unearthed Artist of the Year, Double J Australian Artist Of The Year, Music Video of the Year and Live Act Of The Year.

Amyl and The Sniffers – ‘U Should Not Be Doing That’

From the country’s biggest international breakouts to the hottest emerging acts, more than 25 local artists have scored a nomination for their contribution to Australian Music over the past year.

Sydney hardcore heroes SPEED are repping for the heavy scene, up for two awards including Album Of The Year for their debut LP ONLY ONE MODE and Live Act Of The Year.

While Amyl and The Sniffers are up for three gongs, including Album Of The Year, Double J Australian Artist Of The Year and Music Video of the Year for ‘U Should Not Be Doing That’ (watch above).

The winners in each category will be announced on Thursday, 14th November.
