Hulk Hogan Is Being Inducted Into The WWE Hall Of Fame Again, And Some Fans Aren't Happy

Hulk Hogan is once again being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame after having been removed for making racist comments. He will be inducted as part of the group nWo, not as an individual.

The announcement was made on Monday when he company named its 2020 class. Along with Hogan, Dave Batista, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and Sean Waltman are all being honored.

Hogan tweeted about the news, writing, ""Very grateful that the four original nWo members HollyWood, Big Kev,X and Scott are getting inducted to the WWE HOF," he wrote. "We are not coming back to take over and change the business again, we are just coming back to celebrate our run ,get inducted and party NWO style at Wrestlemania.HH"

Some fans, however, were not thrilled about Hogan once again entering the Hall.

"Lol at noted racist Hulk Hogan getting inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame twice. There truly aren't consequences for rich white men," one fan wrote.

"Hulk Hogan gonna come back and say the N word again," another said.

Still others were approving of the decision.

"I don't like Hulk Hogan as a person, but his contribution to wrestling can't be ignored. Hulkamania is the reason wrestling exploded in the 80s. Hogan turning heel and NWO is largely the reason WCW beat WWF in the ratings. Hogan is too big of a name to ignore," one fan wrote.

Hogan was caught on tape using extremely racist language in a 2006 recording that was released in 2015. “I'm a racist to a point, y'know, fucking n-----s. But then, when it comes to nice people...," he said. “If we're gonna fuck with n-----s, let's get a rich one!”

Hogan issued an apology after the recording came out.

"Eight years ago I used offensive language during a conversation," Hogan said. "It was unacceptable for me to have used that offensive language; there is no excuse for it; and I apologize for having done it.

"I believe very strongly that every person in the world is important and should not be treated differently based on race, gender, orientation, religious beliefs or otherwise. I am disappointed with myself that I used language that is offensive and inconsistent with my own beliefs," he continued.

"It is not who I am. I continue to work every day to improve as a person, and this matter is an important learning experience for me in that regard. As a result I am resigning from my contractual relationship with the WWE."
