‘The Simpsons’
Another year, another “Treehouse of Horror.” This year marks the XXVI installment (that’s 26th!) of the annual Simpsons Halloween extravaganza. In this pic, Sideshow Bob is back, and he’s killing Bart with his violin playing — and more. The “Treehouse of Horror XXVI” episode of The Simpsons airs Sunday, Oct. 25 at 8 p.m. on Fox.

‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’
Double the cuteness! It looks like Det. Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) has some cops in training on the Brooklyn Nine-Nine episode “Halloween Part III.” Kelsey and Skyler Yates play Sergeant Terry Jeffords’s (Terry Crews) twin daughters in the episode. Crews even tweeted the pint-size policewomen’s names: Cagney and Lacey! The “Halloween Part III” episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine airs Sunday, Oct. 25 at 8:30 p.m. on Fox.

’Family Guy’
You’ve heard of paranormal activity, but get ready for “Peternormal Activity” on the Halloween episode of Fox’s Family Guy. It’s Halloween in the suburbs for the Huangs. In the Fresh Off the Boat episode “Miracle on Dead Street,” Louis (Randall Park) is tired of his quiet street, so he aims to make it a prime destination for candy collectors. By the way, we love Louis’s Mr. T costume, but what is the youngest Huang son (Ian Chen) doing dressed up as Hannibal Lecter? The Fresh Off the Boat episode “Miracle on Dead Street” airs Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 8:30 p.m. on ABC.

'The Middle’
Brooke is back! The Middle episode “Halloween VI: Tick Tock Death” will feature the Hecks in the “Twilight Zone,” with Brick (Atticus Shaffer) serving as narrator and Brooke Shields making a return as neighbor Rita Glossner. 'The Goldbergs’
It’s Halloween night, 1980-something, and The Goldbergs are going all out — to a haunted house, that is. 'Modern Family’
Who doesn’t love a Modern Family Halloween episode — even if it’s a rerun? This pic from last year’s “Halloween 3: AwesomeLand” shows Claire and Phil (Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell) coming face to face with their annoying neighbors (Steve Zahn, Andrea Anders). You’ve got to give Phil props for adding some color (and a smiley face) to a usually dark holiday. 'Black-ish’
Now that Dre (Anthony Anderson) lives in a “good candy neighborhood,” his entire extended family wants to trick-or-treat on his street. But before the clan crashes town, Dre and his kids have their own family meeting. (Note: Even though the Johnsons have a nice house, it looks like they’ve got that cobweb thing down.) 'Bones’
We’re losing our heads over the buzzy Bones/Sleepy Hollow crossover. 'Last Man Standing’
Halloween isn’t just for kids — at least not for TV families. On the ABC sitcom Last Man Standing, Tim Allen’s character, Mike, and his pal Chuck (Jonathan Adams) plan to outprank their wives. The wives (Erika Alexander, Nancy Travis) are already festive in their witch costumes, but wait until you see what the men cook up. The Last Man Standing episode “Halloween” airs Friday, Oct. 30 at 8 p.m. on ABC.

'Dr. Ken’
Halloween is especially scary for Dr. Ken (Ken Jeong), because it’s also the 20th anniversary of his botched marriage proposal to Allison (Suzy Nakamura). Still, his pending proposal redo doesn’t stop the good doctor from going all out for the haunted holiday with a Grim Reaper getup. The Dr. Ken “Halloween-Aversary” episode airs Friday, Oct. 30 at 8:30 p.m. on ABC.

'Scream Queens’
It’s always a house of horrors at Wallace University, the college campus featured on Fox’s Scream Queens, so why should Halloween be any different? Lea Michele looks like she’s having a really bad day in this photo from Ryan Murphy’s campy horror comedy. Scream Queens aired its freshman Halloween episode, “Haunted House,” on Oct. 6.

'The Simpsons’
The Simpsons writers love Halloween so much, they’ve cooked up two Halloween-themed episodes this year. Homer and Marge look like they’re having an unhappy Halloween in this picture, or maybe that’s just their angry resting faces. The all-new “Halloween of Horror” episode of The Simpsons aired Sunday, Oct. 18.

'Bob’s Burgers’
We don’t even want to know why Gene Belcher is standing in pile of leaves in his tighty-whities, but it can’t be good. As for the Bob’s Burgers patriarch and his wife Linda, it looks like two heads are better than one. The Bob’s Burgers episode “Hauntening” aired on Sunday, Oct. 18.

It’s October, so you know what that means. Halloween is about to take over the small screen. There’s nothing quite like costumed comedy, and for this season, TV’s funniest characters have pulled out all the stops, with costumes that include Predator, Mr. T, and a cannibalistic serial killer costume worn by an unlikely trick-or-treater. (Luckily we also have Modern Family’s Phil Dunphy in a tie-dye rainbow suit to brighten things up!)
