Hilldale homecoming royalty stay active after coronation.
Oct. 29—Hilldale High School's 2024 homecoming king and queen had busy nights ahead of them after Friday's coronation.
Homecoming King Cash Schiller wore his football jersey at the coronation. He is a kicker, left guard and end for the Hilldale Hornets. He said appreciated the honor.
"It feels pretty good knowing that everyone loves me and appreciates me," he said.
Homecoming Queen Addison Williams, a cheerleader, said Friday was an exciting night.
Immediately after her coronation, other cheerleaders gathered around the queen. One cheerleader who could not make it to the game, sent Williams congratulations over a smart phone.
"I've been a cheerleader all four years of high school and I cheered since kindergarten," Williams said, smiling throughout the event.
Williams wore a black gown with a trailing tulle skirt. Sequins lined the top of the gown. The coronation capped a busy day.
"I went and got my makeup done early this morning, went and got breakfast and just got ready with my parents," she said.
As for Schiller?
"Just a haircut this morning," he said. "It was pretty easy for me."
Schiller said he said he hopes to get football scholarship, preferably at the University of Oklahoma. He plans to attend pharmacy school.
Williams said she plans to join a sorority at Oklahoma State, but has not decided which one to pledge. She said she plans to become a pediatrician and open a clinic.
