Hayden Panettiere and Tyler James Williams Team Up for High-Stakes Chase in ‘Amber Alert’ Trailer
Hayden Panettiere and Tyler James Williams team up in the intense trailer for new thriller Amber Alert. The film follows the duo as they race against time to rescue a kidnapped child.
When 7-year-old Charlotte Bryce is abducted right in front of her mother, an Amber Alert is issued. Rideshare driver Shane (Williams) and his passenger Jacqueline (Panettiere) soon realize that the car in front of them matches the suspect’s license plate. With 911 unable to dispatch a squad quickly, the two embark on a high-stakes car chase to save Charlotte. They’re tasked with keeping the police informed of the kidnapper’s every move, while ensuring he doesn’t realize he’s being followed.

“If we don’t find him, she’ll be gone forever,” Jacqueline warns Shane. But, as a police officer points out, the stakes are high, as the kidnapper is armed and they are not. The situation escalates when they finally track the suspect to his hideout, leading to a life-or-death mission to rescue the little girl.
The movie was written and directed by Kerry Bellessa and produced by Summer Bellessa, the team behind 2022 sci-fi film Immanence.
“We’ve never seen Hayden in this type of role before,” the director told People magazine. “She brings such strength, innocence and depth to this thriller. They are going to get to see her in a new way, and it’s a lot of fun.”
“I can definitely say that I’ll never look at an Amber Alert the same way again after filming this movie,” Panettiere told the outlet.
Amber Alert arrives in theaters and on demand Sept. 27.
