Hay Fever Festival brings great music for a great cause
(COLORADO) – The High Mountain Hay Fever Festival Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing great bluegrass music to the beautiful Sangre de Cristo Mountains while supporting children’s health charities.
The volunteer board and festival volunteers contribute more than 2,000 hours each year, so your support through ticket sales, camping fees, sponsorships, and donations goes to a line-up of nationally recognized bluegrass talent and also funds children’s health services. More than $850,000 has been donated over the past 20 years, even the tips from the beer tent go to support local charities!
Loving Living Local host Nova spoke with festival organizers Heidi Clare & Ron Thomason who are putting the final preparations together for the this year’s festival, happening July 11-14 in Westcliffe.
The High Mountain Hay Fever Festival hosts nationally recognized bluegrass performers in an intimate and stunning setting in the friendly town of Westcliffe. Their motto, Small Scale – Big Time, means you won’t have to fight crowds or park miles away to enjoy some of the best in bluegrass music.
