Former Hollywood studio executive Harvey Weinstein turned himself in to police Friday morning. He was arrested shortly after leaving the precinct, and charged with rape, criminal sex act, sex abuse, and sexual misconduct for incidents involving two different women.

“The NYPD thanks these brave survivors for their courage to come forward and seek justice,” the New York Police Department said in a statement.

More than 50 women have come forward with allegations against Weinstein since The New York Times and The New Yorker published investigations into his alleged history of sexual assault and harassment. The allegations date back over the past 30 years.

In response to the Times’ investigation, Weinstein released a statement partially acknowledging the accusations against him. “I appreciate the way I’ve behaved with colleagues in the past has caused a lot of pain, and I sincerely apologize for it,” he said. But in response to The New Yorker’s reporting, Weinstein issued a statement denying claims of nonconsensual sex. “Any allegations of non-consensual sex are unequivocally denied by Mr. Weinstein,” the statement read in part.

Some of Weinstein’s accusers, like Rose McGowan and Asia Argento, reacted to his arrest in real time Friday morning. Here’s a sampling of what they've said so far:
