The "Harlem" Season 2 Trailer Is Filled With More Mess, Sex, And Friendship, So Sign Me Up
The ladies of Harlem are back! The Season 2 trailer just dropped, and it looks like they left their chill back in Season 1, because things get wild!
Here's what we can assume so far:
Camille (Meagan Good)
The last time we saw Camille, she was locking lips with her ex, Ian (Tyler Lepley), just hours before he was supposed to walk down the aisle...with his fiancé Mira! Camille asked if Ian still loved her, which led to him pouring his heart out to her. "This should've been you," he exclaimed.
Well, based on the trailer, it looks like Camille is still stuck in the love triangle she put herself in. Despite things going really well with her boyfriend, Jameson (Sullivan Jones), Camille can't get over her first love, Ian. At one point, we even see her friends choosing sides. Team Ian vs. Team Jameson are the new Team Lawrence vs. Team Nathan (IYKYK). But that didn't compare to the scene showing Ian and Jameson about to have a conversation in a bar! Whew!
Angie (Shoniqua Shandai)
Last season, Angie was preparing to debut as the lead in Get Out: The Musical. Unfortunately, Jordan Peele shut that down before she even set foot on stage, after learning they were putting on the show without clearing it with him first. At least she got the experience and a "friends with benefits" situation out of it, right?
But you know a failed play couldn't keep our girl down! In the trailer, Angie reveals she earned a costarring role, only to later show that the people working on the project seem like they came straight out of a scene from the real Get Out.
The chaos doesn't stop there. We also see Angie welcoming new men into her life and running from something or someone on the streets of NYC. No matter what drama comes her way, we know Angie will find a way to put her own positive twist on it.
Tye (Jerrie Johnson)
After enduring a medical emergency and reuniting with her emergency contact, aka her HUSBAND Brandon, things got a little tricky for her. Brandon still felt hurt and betrayed by the way Tye left him. Tye basically ignored him while he was in town, and he decided the only way to really get her attention was to go after her money in their divorce.
In the trailer, Tye doesn't seem to be moping over Brandon and her legal battles anymore, but that doesn't mean she's completely drama-free. In Season 1, Tye changed her women as often as she changed her outfits, and it looks like that mentality finally caught up to her. She landed herself on the SheBToxic list, where lesbians share their experiences with toxic women. Some things never change...
And last, but certainly not least, Quinn (Grace Byers)
Thanks to some liquid courage, after a drunk night out with Camille, Quinn finally mustered up the nerve to tell Isabela (Juani Feliz) how she really feels about her. She even asked her on a date, which Isabela agreed to. Remember this almost didn't happen because Quinn previously acted like Isabela didn't exist when Quinn's mother was in town, because she was too scared to act on her feelings.
Fast-forward to the Season 2 trailer, and Quinn has fully embraced her entrance into the LGBTQ+ community, going as far as creating a rainbow-themed beaded headpiece. And that's not all! Quinn is out here talking about the multiple orgasms Isabela gave her and even experimenting with sex toys. We're looking at a whole new Quinn this season!
I don't know about you, but I miss these ladies so much! The show is refreshing, lighthearted, and fun. And with this social climate, we need more shows like this!
Season 2 will consist of eight episodes, with two episodes airing each week beginning Feb. 3 on Prime Video!
