Hallmark Star Lacey Chabert Prefers to Keep Her Real-Life Romance Private
When it comes to stars who have been on the TV scene for a while, Lacey Chabert is one name people may think of. She's been a staple on the Hallmark channel for a long time, where she stars in numerous films and TV shows. But while she may be in the public eye, she is adamant about keeping her personal life with husband David Nehdar out of the spotlight.
So, who exactly is Lacey's partner? Well, the two have been together for over a decade and not much is out about when she and David first met. In fact, folks first learned Lacey was in a relationship when she announced on X (formerly Twitter) she had gotten married in December 2013.
"Just wanted to share some personal news with you guys," she wrote in a series of Tweets in January 2014. "I'm starting off 2014 as a Mrs! Over the holidays, my best friend & love of my life... we became husband & wife! #soblessed #love."

Although Lacey didn't exactly divulge details on the wedding at the time, she did detail a little bit about how David proposed to her on Home and Family in October 2019. She shared that since she's normally hard to surprise, it threw her off that she had no clues about the engagement.
"So there I am, so shocked and surprised that I literally don’t know what’s going on until he’s on one knee actually saying the words 'Will you marry me?'" she said at the time. "I’m like, ‘What are you doing? A box? You weren’t supposed to buy me jewelry, we’re going to save money.’ He’s like, ‘Just be quiet.’ Of course, we’re both crying."
As for the nuptials itself, Lacey shared key moments about the day with the BUILD Series. She not only revealed she previously wore her wedding dress in a Hallmark Christmas movie, her sister Chrissy Chabert Taylor was her maid-of-honor. And while there were no photos posted of both her and David, she did share one key behind-the-scenes photo on Instagram at the time.
While Lacey and David were happily married, one person came into the mix in September 2016. The Mean Girls alum gave birth to the couple's only child, daughter Julia, and she shared the announcement via an Instagram photo.
"#TBT to the best day of my life. One week ago I became a mom to this precious angel. Julia Mimi Bella ??," she wrote at the time. "Julia, you are my heart's deepest dream come true. I love you more than I could ever say. Welcome to this big beautiful world sweet girl!"
Since then, Lacey has mostly kept her life with Julia and David private. But she does love to tease fans with cute moments between the trio, especially when it comes to Julia. In fact, when her daughter discovered she played Gretchen Wieners in Mean Girls, Lacey had to tell the story of Julia's reaction on The Kelly Clarkson Show in January 2022.
"[Julia] goes, 'Mommy, I didn't know you were Gretchen Wieners. Did you know that was your name?'" she said, per People. "It's so funny even hearing that name come out of her mouth."
No matter the case, Lacey and David always make sure their lives center around Julia and what works for their family. As the Party of Five alum confirmed to the BUILD Series in March 2017, she makes sure to choose projects that allow the entire group to be together, depending on their schedules.
"[Julia's] the most important thing, and it’s not only about my marriage but also what works for the family and the baby," she stated at the time. "I am lucky that my job allows me to bring her to set with me, which is really nice."
We so love this for all of them!
