Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash announces death of 25-year-old stepdaughter
(NEXSTAR) – Rock legend Slash announced on Sunday that his stepdaughter, Lucy-Bleu Knight, has died at age 25.
The Guns N’ Roses guitarist shared the news in an Instagram post, revealing that Knight “passed away peacefully” in Los Angeles on Friday, July 19.
“Lucy-Bleu was an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and a charming, lovable, sweet soul,” wrote Slash, whose birth name is Saul Hudson.

Knight’s biological parents are Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight. Hodges is Slash’s longtime girlfriend, E! News and TODAY reported. The 25-year-old also leaves behind stepmother Samantha Somers Knight, sister Scarlet Knight and stepsiblings London and Cash Hudson.
“The family asks for privacy at this time and requests that social media speculation be kept to a minimum as they grieve and process this devastating loss,” Slash wrote.
Knight’s cause of death has not been disclosed.

Guns N’ Roses bandmember Melissa Reese shared her sympathies, commenting: “There are no words. Sending absolutely all of my love and hugs and condolences and support to you guys.”
Susan McKagan, wife of Slash’s bandmate Michael Andrew “Duff” McKagan, also wrote, “Words cannot express our deepest sympathy and condolences. Love you all so much.”
Over the weekend, Slash canceled four shows of the S.E.R.P.E.N.T. tour that he’s headlining “due to “unforeseen circumstances.” He said performances will resume on July 28.
