Golden Globes host Nikki Glaser will be back by Pope-ular demand.
After a highly successful inaugural stint as the ceremony’s 2025 emcee, the comedian will return to host the annual awardsfest, TVLine has learned. The telecast will air in January 2026 on CBS and stream on Paramount+ in the United States.

“Hosting the Golden Globes this year was without a doubt the most fun I have ever had in my career,” Glaser, the first woman to host the show solo, said in a statement. “I can’t wait to do it again, and this time in front of the team from The White Lotus, who will finally recognize my talent and cast me in Season 4 as a Scandinavian Pilates instructor with a shadowy past.”
The 2025 Globes averaged 9.3 million total viewers (down just 2% from last year’s four-year high), held steady in the 18-49 demo and saw gains with the 25-54 crowd. TVLine readers gave Glaser an average grade of “A-.”
Golden Globes 2025: Best and Worst Moments
In a post mortem interview with our sister site Variety, this year’s Globes producers shared their positive sentiments about Glaser’s performance. “We absolutely had a great experience with her, and think that she would be great at this in the long term,” said executive producer Glenn Weiss less than 24-hours after the show wrapped.
“As someone who produces and directs award shows, she really found her niche here,” Weiss added, “and I think it really worked out beautifully on this show. And I would love to see it continue.”
Weiss and fellow Globes executive producer Ricky Kirshner praised Glaser for finding and delivering the appropriate mood for the show, which was a vast improvement over last year’s poorly received Jo Koy-hosted ceremony.
“Nikki, in my mind, home run,” Weiss said. “She really prepared. She did her homework… And she proved herself to be a really good host… It’s meant to be fun and a party. And Nikki, her whole tone and and her way of being is really in line with what this show is. And I think she really scored very well last night.”
Glaser was also happy with how the event turned out, telling Howard Stern the morning after, “I honestly would have done it for free, it’s such an insane platform.”
