Golden 1 Center announces new Rod Wave concert date in Sacramento
(FOX40.COM) — The Golden 1 Center in Sacramento announced a new concert date for Rod Wave after his October show was canceled.
Rod Wave is a rapper, singer, and songwriter best known for his incorporation of hip-hop and R&B music. He is recognized as a pioneer of “trap-soul.”
Sacramento Rod Wave concert postponed after fireworks mistaken for gunshots
On Oct. 25, the Sacramento Police Department responded to the arena ahead of Rod Wave’s performance for reports of gunshots. After officers arrived, they said they didn’t find any evidence of a shooting, however, there was evidence of fireworks. Because of the commotion, the show was rescheduled for the following day but postponed again because of staffing issues, according to Golden 1.
The new concert date is scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025. Golden 1 said all tickets from the canceled concert will be honored at the new show date. Rod Wave will be accompanied by Moneybagg Yo, Toosii, and other artists.
