“Gilmore Girls” and “Picket Fences” actor Adam Wylie arrested for allegedly shoplifting
Adam Wylie, best known for his appearances on Gilmore Girls and Picket Fences, was arrested for petty theft after allegedly shoplifting at a Target in Burbank, Calif., on Oct. 20, EW can confirm.
According to Burbank PD, Wylie failed to pay for his items at the store's self-checkout station and was outside when he was approached by Target Loss Prevention Officers.
"The stolen and recovered items totaled $108.05," a Burbank PD rep told The Wrap. "Burbank PD issued a citation to the suspect for petty theft, and he was released in the field. The suspect is identified as 39-year-old Adam Augustus Wylie, a resident of Valley Village."

Representatives for Wylie did not immediately respond to EW's request for comment.
Wylie famously portrayed Zack Brock, the son of Sheriff Jim (Tom Skerritt) and Doctor Jill Brock (Kathy Baker), on Picket Fences from 1992 to 1996. He also portrayed Brad Langford, a classmate of Rory (Alexis Bledell), for six episodes on Gilmore Girls.
Wylie also led the 1997 Disney Channel Original Movie Under Wraps, and returned to the franchise for Under Wraps 2 in 2022, albeit as a different character. His recent career has primarily consisted of voice work in projects like Arcane, The Mitchells vs the Machines, Ben 10, and multiple Smurfs projects. He also works as a magician, according to his Instagram.
