George Strait setlist: Every song he played (including encores) at his Arizona tour launch
State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona is the first of only seven stadiums the man they call the King of Country plans to play in 2023 with special guest Chris Stapleton, who joined him on three songs, including a cover of Townes Van Zandt's "Pancho and Lefty."
And George Strait rose to the occasion with a set that took us from his breakthrough hit, "Unwound," from 1981's "Strait Country" through selections from "Honky Tonk Time Machine" his latest album. Along the way, he dusted off a decent number of the songs he's taken to the top of Billboard's country singles chart — he had plenty to choose from, as he's topped the chart more times than any artist in the history of the genre — from "The Chair" to "All My Ex's Live in Texas" and "Check Yes or No."
Here's a look at every song he played at his tour launch.
