‘General Hospital’ star Johnny Wactor’s ex-fiancée Tessa Farrell slams his killers, breaks down in tears: ‘Shot the wrong guy’
Johnny Wactor’s former fiancée broke down in tears over the “General Hospital” actor’s death, slamming the gunmen for shooting “the wrong guy.”
His distraught ex, Tessa Farrell, made a desperate appeal to the criminals, who have been at large since the shooting early Saturday in downtown Los Angeles.
“If the person who did this, if you’re watching, I’m sorry, but you shot the wrong guy,” Farrell said through tears in a video posted to Monday. “You can get a real job. I know the job market’s hard but we’re all in it together. You don’t have to steal — especially take a life over it.”
Farrell then made an emotional plea for changes to be made “as a community” regarding rising crime.
“These criminals can’t keep being on the street and they can’t keep being sent back and have no repercussions for their actions,” Farrell said.
“It’s not ok, this can’t keep happening. So many lives are being lost, just us not being smart — we have to be smarter as a community.”
Wactor, 37, was shot dead while shielding a female co-worker from three armed robbers who gunned him down for his car’s catalytic converter.
He spent several years playing Brando Corbin in the long-running soap opera.
Farrell also sent her condolences to Wactor’s co-worker who witnessed his death, saying, “I am so sorry you’re in this situation.”
“I can’t even imagine what it’s like to have been the one right there. You must be so scared and so sad. But if you need someone to talk to, you can talk to me.”
Farrell said she met Wactor in 2013 and the pair dated for several years before getting engaged — but ultimately they had to “let each other go romantically.”
“It was rushed. We were too young and kids and healing — but I’m just so proud of the man he’s become and it’s so sad that crime in LA had to do this.”
She added: ‘It’s so sad that, you know, that this is how he had to get taken from us because he cared so much about doing the right thing and earning things. He taught me that.’
Farrell said that Wactor “found sobriety” after their relationship ended and that she helped him decide to attend AA meetings.
Wactor is best known for playing Brando Corbin in 164 episodes of the long-running soap opera “General Hospital” between 2020 and 2022, according to his IMDb profile.
He was later written off the show.
He also appeared in the supernatural drama show “Siberia,” the drama “Army Wives” and an episode of “Criminal Minds.”
