Why ‘Game of Thrones’ Star Sophie Turner Thought She Got Cursed by a Fan

“Game of Thrones” star Sophie Turner shared a funny fan encounter at San Diego Comic-Con International on Friday, in which the British actress admitted that she was afraid a fan had wanted to put some kind of spell on her.
Turner said after “Battle of the Bastards” aired, a woman approached her and said the words Sansa speaks to Ramsay (Iwan Rheon) just before he dies: “Your words will disappear. Your house will disappear. Your name will disappear. All memory of you will disappear.”
Turner said that she forgot the line came from the show. “I thought she was like, cursing me or something,” Turner told the Hall H crowd to a big laugh.

Turner also fielded a question about whether or not Jon Snow is capable of actually ruling as King of the North. “I don’t think she believes Jon is capable of running Winterfell and the north. She doesn’t think he has the intellect, the knowledge, the experience that she has, and I concur,” she said with a laugh.
Then things got a little awkward when a fan raised the possibility that, since we now know Jon and Sansa are not really brother and sister, they could become romantically involved. “Jon likes redheads, but Jon and Sansa have grown up together, they’re basically siblings,” Turner replied.
Also on the panel, Kristian Nairn, known to fans forever as Hodor, got emotional at the outpouring of tributes after his character met a grisly demise when he had to “hold the door” for Bran and Meera.

“I did not expect it to be so crazy,” Nairn said. “I’m really, really flattered. It’s blown my mind.” He revealed that he had no idea how much of an impact Hodor’s death would have. “I was in a hotel in L.A. the other day and all their doorstops said ‘Hodor’ on them.”
“Game of Thrones” Season 7 will return in the summer of 2017.
