The Front Room Trailer: Our First Look at the Debut Feature of Max and Sam Eggers
The Eggers brothers are on a roll.
This weekend, the trailer for Robert Eggers' Nosferatu will screen exclusively in theaters before The Bikeriders, and now A24 has released the first trailer for The Front Room, the directorial debut of Max and Sam Eggers.
Starring Kathryn Hunter, Brandy Norwood, Neal Huff, and Andrew Burnap, The Front Room brings Brandy back to the horror genre in what A24 calls "a legendary face-off against Kathryn Hunter, the wickedest mother-in-law of them all."
The official synopsis provided by the studio reads:
Everything goes to hell for newly-pregnant Belinda (Brandy) after her mother-in-law (Kathryn Hunter) moves in. As the diabolical guest tries to get her claws on the child, Belinda must draw the line somewhere…
The first trailer wastes no time setting the tone, where an innocent singalong in the car to an English language rendition of édith Piaf's "Non, je ne regrette rien" twists into a disconcerting scene in a church where one son is required to take his mother into his home following the death of his father.
From there, the face-off between Brandy and Kathryn Hunter grows more and more compelling as tensions rise and chaos ensues.
The Front Room will hit theaters on September 6.
