Fred Armisen and Riki Lindhome Quietly Tied the Knot Two Years Ago
Fred Armisen and Riki Lindhome are married — and have been for two years.
The Wednesday co-stars had known each other for 15 years before they started dating in early 2022. Lindhome recalled to People that she could tell she was having feelings for Armisen on the set of the hit Netflix series but didn’t think she could pursue a relationship because she was expecting a baby via surrogate.

“I wanted to go on a date,” she told the publication. “That’s what I knew. So I was like, ‘OK, let’s explore.’ Then, it unfolded naturally over time. I wasn’t like, ‘You’re the dad.’ I was like, ‘I want to have dinner with you.’ My thought was, ‘I want to kiss you. I want to see you.’ Then it just kept going.”
When Lindhome’s son, Keaton, was born, Armisen was away filming a project, so he didn’t get to meet him right away. At the time, Lindhome and Armisen had only been dating for a few weeks, and she didn’t want him to feel pressured to be a part of her and her son’s lives.
“I said, ‘All I want is the truth. If you feel in your gut that’s not for you, it doesn’t make you a jerk. I’m not mad at you,” she recalled. “I said, ‘I still think you’re the best. I just want you to really feel what you feel. And then be honest about it because it’s a big life-altering thing.’ And he said, ‘OK, OK.'”
Shortly after, he told her he wanted to be a part of their family. Three months later, they got married in a courthouse and didn’t really tell anyone until after the fact.
“We were friends for so long that it just happened fast,” Lindhome said. “We had one dinner and then it was like, ‘Oh, yeah, let’s see where this goes.’ It was surprising. I would say it was more of a shock to him. He did not see it coming at all.”
