They found love in a hopeless place: 'Bachelor in Paradise' couples who are still together
"Bachelor in Paradise," the sexy spinoff of ABC's reality television stalwarts "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette," has been on the air since 2014. The premise brings singles who didn't find lasting love on the original shows to a beach vacation to mingle with one another and hopefully stumble upon a better match.
Aside from an alcohol-fueled adult summer camp, the show may be an effective matchmaking scheme. More lasting couples tend to emerge from the spinoff than the original shows.
'Bachelor' couples still together: Here's a look at the show's success rate
Ahead of the "Bachelor in Paradise" Season 9 premiere this fall (Tuesdays, 9 EDT/PDT), here's a guide to the franchise's successful pairings.
Bachelor in Paradise couples still together:
Danielle Maltby & Michael Allio
Maltby and Allio had a late-in-the-game "BIP" love story. The two bonded over the shared grief of losing a partner and, while not engaged, remain a strong couple.
Pieper James & Brendan Morais
James and Morais pulled off the rare joint villain arc, drawing ire from their fellow contestants when it was revealed they had a relationship before appearing in the franchise. Despite public disdain from Bachelor Nation, the couple is still going strong.
Chris Conran & Alana Milne
Another unpopular couple, Conran and Milne left the beach together after fellow contestants made their dislike for the union known. The two have been together since, however, celebrating their one-year anniversary in January.
Joe Amabile & Serena Pitt
Known to Bachelor Nation as "Grocery Store Joe," Amabile has been part of the franchise since Becca Kufrin's season of "The Bachelorette." It wasn't until he met Pitt that he found his happily ever after, though. The two got engaged during the finale and remain a couple.
Kenny Braasch & Mari Pepin
The boy band manager and beauty queen got engaged on Season 7 of "Paradise" and have been going strong ever since.
Thomas Jacobs & Becca Kufrin
Kufrin, a former "Bachelorette," made quite the splash when she landed on the beaches of "Paradise." Although she and Jacobs began a courtship, they broke up during the season finale. He fought to get her back off camera, and the rest is history: They're expecting their first child later this year.
Noah Erb & Abigail Heringer
Erb and Heringer also left the show after breaking up, only to reunite and begin documenting a picture-perfect romance from the beaches of California.
Dean Unglert & Caelynn Miller-Keyes
Unglert, who came close to winning Rachel Lindsay's heart during Season 13 of "The Bachelorette," ultimately found lasting companionship with Miller-Keyes, a former Miss North Carolina. The two are set to marry later this year.
Hannah Godwin & Dylan Barbour
Godwin and Barbour, who got engaged during Season 6 of "BIP," have become one of the franchise's most recognizable couples, each boasting a healthy social media following. They plan to marry in August.
Ashley Iaconetti & Jared Haibon
Another famous "Bachelor in Paradise" couple, Haibon and Iaconetti had the ultimate friends-to-lovers arc. After years of pining, Iaconetti eventually got the guy: the two wed in 2019 and share a son.
Raven Gates & Adam Gottschalk
Gates and Gottschalk first paired up during Season 4 of "Bachelor in Paradise." They eventually tied the knot in April 2021 and now share one child, with another on the way.
Jade Roper & Tanner Tolbert
The OG "BIP" couple, Tolbert and Roper met during Season 2 of "Bachelor in Paradise" and have been together since. They wed in 2016 and share three children.
Kevin Wendt & Astrid Loch
Wednt, a "Bachelorette" contestant in Canada, jumped countries and found love with Loch during Season 6 of "Bachelor in Paradise." They welcomed their first child in 2021, have another on the way, and married in 2022.
