Fans Say Jennifer Garner Deserves 'a Gold Medal' for Viral Paris Olympics Trend Video
Jennifer Garner is trying out a viral social media trend amid the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics, and if nothing else, she gave her fans a good laugh.
In a new video shared via Instagram on Sunday, Aug. 4, the 13 Going on 30 star attempted to do an exercise move as part of a viral series where internet users upload hilarious snippets explaining why they weren't chosen to attend the Olympics this year, and showcasing their (very purposeful) lack of skill.
For Garner's feat, she chose a stacked 33-inch high box jump, but instead of gaining enough momentum to land on her feet, the Alias actress plopped right onto her knees, completely failing at the objective of the athletic move.
As she finished, she immediately erupted into laughter, looking back at the camera with a wide-toothed smile.
"Sad to announce I did not make the cut for Paris 2024," sarcastic text over the video read, along with a broken-heart emoji.
Fans in the comment section loved the fun clip, dropping in to play along and provide endless support for the actress.
"Keep going, maybe we’ll see you in Los Angeles 2028 ????," one joked, while another added, "?????? you’re STILL a TOTAL CHAMP !! ????????."
"There’s always LA 2028! ?? ??," a third agreed.
"Hahahaha, you’re an Olympian in my book for simply trying a jump that would make me pee my pants," a fourth remarked.
"Okay but you’re Elektra. And Jenna Rink. And Sydney Bristol. You already win," someone else reasoned, mentioning some of her movie characters.
Meanwhile, two more fans insisted Garner still deserves a medal anyway, as they chimed in with "But you always win a golden medal for the BEST person EVER!!!" and "You deserve a Gold medal for being the nicest person on the Universe??."
