Fans Are Fired Up About the People's Choice Country Awards Nominees

The People's Choice Country Awards are back for the second year. The show doesn't air until September 26, but the time to get excited is now! The nominees are official, and fans have the opportunity to vote for their favorites.

Of course, country music fans have a lot of thoughts on the nominees. When the PCCA's official Instagram account shared the lists on August 14, one category in particular got a lot of attention: Female Artist of 2024.

In 2023, Lainey Wilson took home the honors. This year, the nominees for the coveted award are Beyoncé, Carly Pearce, Dolly Parton, Kacey Musgraves, Kelsea Ballerini, Lainey Wilson, Megan Moroney, and Miranda Lambert.

The comments section is filled with people calling out their favorites, and it seems to be pretty evenly divided among the women nominated:

  • "Kelsea or Lainey for sure!"

  • "Dolly Parton, my choice ??"

  • Kacey ????

  • "Beyoncé!!! ????????????"

  • "@megmoroney ????"

  • "I’d love Kelsea to win bc it’s long over due but it’s going to come down to Dolly or Lainey."

  • "MEG CARLY AND KELSEA"

Tune in to NBC or Peacock on September 26 to find out who is crowned the winner (Shania Twain is hosting!). You can find the complete list of nominees and cast your vote on the People's Choice Country Awards website.
