Fans Dub Pink the ‘Coolest Mom Ever’ After Seeing How She Reacts to Son Jameson Crashing Her Concert
Fans of Pink are obsessed with her parenting choices after seeing the way the mother of two handled her son Jameson crashing her concert during the Philadelphia stop of her Summer Carnival Tour on Sunday, Aug. 18.
The 7-year-old appeared to invite himself onstage to peruse his mom's candy stash — something she grows each concert thanks to fans bringing her gifts of chocolate and other sweets, among other oddities. Musical director and pianist Jason Chapman will also surprise her with candy at each concert if she can correctly guess which song he is playing during an interlude.
In a compilation uploaded by a fan page to Instagram, who credited several other fans for taking the varying clips, Pink appears to toss her tiny hoard across the piano for Jameson to sort through as he approaches the instrument, looking delighted as he picks the treats up piece by piece.
"You don't want that, you don't even like it," she teased him. "It's like, weird." We can only presume that he picked up one of her favorites as she added, "You might like the Jolly Rancher."
As he started piling everything into his hands she told him, "Get off my stage!" and eventually screeched, "Security!" as he continued to collect the candy.
He very sassily turned to the side, waving off any potential interventionists, before snatching another piece and moving to take his leave, thinking better of it as he returned to give his mother a kiss — and take one more candy.
As he dawdled, she chased after him, waving her arms to herd him away, joking, "I'm curling for children," before tossing the rest of the candy left behind at the audience.
Fans were delighted by the lighthearted and cheeky interaction, with one joking that she was "living every mother's dream to scream, 'SECURITY!!' when the kids have finally gotten our last nerve..."
"Pink is the most realistic mom," another wrote in part, while someone else dubbed her "the coolest mom ever."
It's probably payback for the time she taunted Jameson and his sister Willow, 13, during the same moment of a previous show, telling the audience, "I get candy, and it's candy I don't have to share because neither one of my kids can get up here. I told security: Not at this moment."
She eventually looked out into the audience–presumably where the two were watching–and teased, "See this, kids?" before putting the candy into her mouth and laughing.
"It's alright. He gave me a Snickers, I gave you life," she added.
