Family Law Mediator Says Boy Caught Up In Visitation Dispute Said ‘A Lot Of Good Things’ About His Divorced Parents

Divorced for over four years, Marla and Marty say they’re fighting over Marty’s parenting time with their 10-year-old son, David. Marty claims that Marla makes excuses why David can’t call or visit, and Marla claims the child refuses because Marty and his new wife, Jennifer, say bad things about her in front of him.

Marty and Marla’s older sons, Sam and Danny, say they’ve cut off contact with their father and his wife because of the way Marty and Jennifer treat their mother.

On Tuesday’s episode, Dr. Phil sends civil and family law mediator Sean Collinson to spend some time with David to determine how he feels about spending time with each of his parents.

“What I heard was dad was on equal footing with mom,” the mediator reports. “I heard him say a lot of good things,” he adds.
