Fallout Gets New Release Date
It seems those rapturous Fallout first impressions have made an impact because it was announced that the series based on the popular video game will get an early release.
Prime Video has revealed that all eight episodes of Fallout will now drop on April 10 at 6pm PT, a day earlier than its scheduled April 11 release.
Fallout is described as "the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there's almost nothing left to have. Two-hundred years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind—and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird, and highly violent universe waiting for them."
The April 10 release will be accompanied by a global fan premiere where viewers can choose their faction and interact with fellow fans through the live chat function.
The cast of Fallout includes Ella Purnell, Walton Goggins, Aaron Moten, Moisés Arias, Kyle MacLachlan, Sarita Choudhury, Michael Emerson, Leslie Uggams, Frances Turner, Dave Register, Zach Cherry, Johnny Pemberton, Rodrigo Luzzi, Annabel O'Hagan, and Xelia Mendes-Jones.
Geneva Robertson-Dworet, whose previous credits include Captain Marvel and Tomb Raider, partners up as showrunner with the eight-time Emmy-nominated Graham Wagner, who is behind series such as Silicon Valley and Portlandia.
Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy, Athena Wickham, Todd Howard and James Altman executive produce the production from Amazon MGM Studios, with Kilter Films producing in association with Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks.
