The internet is furious over Trump saying he wants Americans to treat him like North Koreans treat Kim
President Donald Trump’s “unannounced” interview with Fox News’ Fox and Friends on the White House front lawn this morning has left the internet shocked and furious.
While speaking with the network, Trump praised North Korean leader Kim Jong Un — as he’s done multiple times — saying he believed it possible for Kim to visit Washington.
He added, “He’s the head of a country, I mean, he’s the stronghold, don’t let anyone think anything different. He speaks and his people sit up at attention. I want my people to do the same.”
Wow. This just happened.

The clip quickly became viral on Twitter, with many people offended by Trump’s words. Some users compared the president to a dictator.
THIS is what Trump said about Kim Jong-un: "He speaks and his people sit up in attention. I want my people to do the same." Yes, folks, we have a president who thinks he is a dictator! He flatters our enemies and alienates our allies!

President Trump on North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un: "He speaks and his people sit up in attention. I want my people to do the same."
There's one problem, Donald. We're not your people and we never will be.

Trump was “being respectful” when he saluted a NoKo general. He was “being sarcastic” when he referred to U.S. citizens as “my people.” He was “being fair” when he said Nazis were “good people.”
I am “being dead serious” when I say he is unfit for office and needs to go.

Moments ago, @realDonaldTrump said, on Kim Jong Un: “He speaks and his people sit up and [pay] attention. I want my people to do the same.”
As a veteran of 21 years, I support and defend the Constitution. What you’re doing is against that. So you will NEVER get that from me.

In just two short sentences, Trump reveals both his love of dictatorships and his complete ignorance of democracy. pic.twitter.com/i2AnzSTH7V

BREAKING: President Trump, moments ago talking about the murderous North Korean Dictator, Kim Jong Un:
“He speaks and his people sit up and [pay] attention. I want my people to do the same”
Nah, I'll pass on that one, but I'm sure your MAGA hat-wearing supporters would love to.

Trump referred to citizens of the United States as "my people" and "followers" this morning.
I am NOT his. I am NOT a follower.
We are citizens. We are human beings of conscience.

In this video Trump says when Kim Jong-Un speaks, "his people sit up at attention. I want my people to do the same."
Some are arguing he means HIS STAFF, not THE people.
This isn't any better.

Later, again talking to reporters at the White House, Trump brushed off his “my people” comment. When asked to clarify, the president waved his hand. “I’m kidding. You don’t understand sarcasm.”
Pres. Trump claims his earlier comment saying he wanted "my people" to act toward him as North Koreans do to Kim Jong Un was a joke. "You don't understand sarcasm." https://t.co/dMeVjlPoyT pic.twitter.com/ImAfVCyUNM
