Exclusive Silo Sneak Peek: Bernard Celebrates Juliette as ‘Hero’ — Though With a Very Dark Twist
This Friday on Apple TV+’s Silo, Bernard addresses the silo community in the wake of Juliette “asking” to go out. Content warning, the amount of spin you’re about to hear from the mayor is dizzying!
In Season 2’s second episode, titled “Order,” shock and unrest take hold of Silo 18 after everyone watched Juliette do what no one has done before — march up and over the hill outside, into the toxic wasteland beyond.
More from TVLine
“[Bernard] understands the problem” at hand, showrunner Graham Yost told TVLine. “In the second episode, you discover [that in addition to The Pact] there’s another book called The Order, and the only people who read The Order are either the Head of IT or their shadow. One of the lines from The Order, which we love, is: “Failed Cleaning, Prepare for War.” And that’s what Bernard has to do.”
Even if he has to spread a big lie to do it.
In TVLine’s exclusive clip above, Bernard (played by Tim Robbins) aims to quell the populace’s curiosity by hailing the former sheriff (Rebecca Ferguson) as a “hero of the silo”… after sadly reporting that she (cough) died once out of view.

This week’s episode is set largely within Silo 18, whereas last week’s season opener was all Juliette, all the time. Compared to the back half of the Hugh Howey novel, Wool, on which Season 2 is based, the dividing of time between silos “is a little more 50-50,” showrunner Yost told TVLine. “The first episode is all Juliette, the second episode is all Silo 18, and [beginning with] the third episode, we start cross-cutting.”
