In a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter following the season four finale, showrunner John Hoffman explained how they decided who would be the murder victim in the recently announced fifth season.
“Many factors go into that decision, I will say, and that’s because it springs forth so many ideas about what the season wants to look at, what parts of the terrain of New York, or our trio’s lives, or the building’s life, do we want to delve into that we haven’t gone towards before?” he said. “We also very much like the connection of someone we know. It’s terrible in many ways, but many surprises yet to come around that decision.”
Nikki Glaser is set to host the 2025 Golden Globes, which will air Sunday, Jan. 5, on CBS and stream on Paramount+.
