Jennifer Lopez was a chair of the 2024 Met Gala, which marked her 15th time celebrating Fashion's Biggest Night.
Lopez made her Met Gala debut in 1999 with then-boyfriend Sean "Diddy" Combs and kept her look and overall vibe understated—to the point that a lot of people forget she was there since there are so few photos.

Lopez then laid low until her 2004 return, where she rocked a timeless style of “Dangerous Liaisons: Fashion and Furniture in the 18th Century."
A longtime fashion darling, Lopez has counted Versace and Ralph Lauren as her most frequent collaborators, but has also sported Marchesa, Michael Kors Alberta Ferretti, Balmain, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana and Zuhair Murad on Met Gala red carpets.
One of the few stars who usually dresses on theme, Lopez of course shut it down with the 2024 Met Gala theme "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion."
She joked that she can "barely ever" walk in her Met Gala outfits, telling Good Morning America that the ensembles are "not about comfort."
Celebrate and make all that pain worth it with a look back at every single one of Jennifer Lopez's Met Gala looks through the years.

Was Jennifer Lopez at the 2024 Met Gala?
Not only was Lopez at the 2024 Met Gala, she was one of the co-chairs. She joined the ranks of Zendaya, Chris Hemsworth and Bad Bunny in curating this year's event.
"I was really honored to be asked to host it," Lopez said on Good Morning America hours before hitting the red carpet. "Anna [Wintour] was gracious enough to ask me. And we're going to have a good time. It’s always a nice time there. It’s such an interesting mix of artists and business people. It's not just music or film, you know, it’s everybody. And you get to have some really interesting interactions."

Jennifer Lopez made her Met Gala debut in 1999—and back then, instead of the first Monday in May, it was held in December! With her all-white-clad then-beau Sean "Diddy" Combs on her arm, J.Lo rocked a nude gown with a chest cut-out under her tan fur jacket. The theme was "Rock Style," and while she could have grunged it up, we all know Lopez's style is clean, fresh and sexy—and check out her signature glowing skin.

The 2004 Met Gala, themed “Dangerous Liaisons: Fashion and Furniture in the 18th Century," was Jennifer Lopez's first to rock without a date. Flanked by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, Jennifer Lopez turned out a classic red lip along with her lacy black Dolce & Gabbana gown, which featured edgy lace-up sides on the bodice. Featuring a dropped waist and a tiered skirt, this style, like many of J.Lo's looks, has withstood the test of time.

Speaking to Vogue ahead of the annual fashion fundraiser, Lopez admitted she was still deciding on her gown. "I have a few different sketches. I’m still deciding. I’m also one of those people who chooses at the last minute," she said. "Like, I like choices, and then I go, ‘Okay, this is how I feel today,’ and then we try to kinda create some type of amazing look—‘cause that is the night for looks!”
She wound up going with this Schiaparelli Haute Couture gown, and boy does she look good.
