Evan Ross Wishes Diana Ross Happy 80th Birthday: 'There Are Not Words to Explain How Much I Love You'
The 'Star' actor penned a sweet message for his mother on her milestone birthday
Evan Ross is celebrating his legendary mother Diana Ross on her 80th birthday!
As the "Endless Love" singer hit her milestone on Tuesday, her son, 35, expressed how much he loves her, noting how she showed him "the power of love."
The songwriter shared a tribute to his mother on Instagram, including a couple of throwback images of him as a toddler beside his superstar mother.
One photo included the glamorous singer wearing a chic look while she carried a young Evan in her arms — as he sported a mini suit.
The second image includes Diana smiling off-camera, as she held the toddler on her hip. In the sweet snapshot, Evan wore a pair of bright red suspenders with a bowtie and gazed down at the table beside him and his mother.
The final photo in Evan's carousel includes a recent photo of The Supremes star as she made a kissy face for the camera.
"Happy Birthday MOM. There are not words to explain how much i love you. U are everything. Everything everything. Everything ????????. Thank you for showing me the power of love," he wrote in the caption.
Diana shares Evan and Arne Naess with ex-husband Arne Naess Jr.; the two were born in 1988 and 1987, respectively.
She welcomed her first child, Rhonda Ross Kendrick, with Berry Gordy in 1971. The following year, she and her first husband Robert Ellis Silberstein welcomed Tracee Ellis Ross. Ross and Silberstein's daughter Chudney Ross was born in 1974.

Tracee, Chudney and Rhonda also wished Diana a happy birthday.
"Super Mama ??. Happy Birthday to my mom @dianaross ?? . The best mom / grandma / human! Grace, beauty, inspiration and pure love! We love you so much and we are so lucky to have you," Chudney, 48, wrote in an Instagram post.
Her eldest child, Rhonda, 52, shared a video singing an original song beside the Grammy winner on stage. "Happy birthday Mom!!! I love you more than words can say. #DianaRoss #CountOnMe," wrote Rhonda.
Meanwhile, the Black-ish actress, 51, penned a heartfelt tribute on Instagram. "Oh how I love you Mom. 80 incredible pictures of you in 80 seconds to celebrate your 80th birthday today ??," she wrote.
Tracee continued by sharing a list of all of her mother's accomplishments and noted how "staggering" it is to see how much Diana accomplished from 1976 to 1985 when she gave birth to her daughters.
Tracee then applauded her mother for always doting on her children throughout their lives.
"What’s not available on Google is that she was also waking us up for school (she is the best waker-upper), having family dinner and bath time, recording while we slept, planning our birthday parties, play dates, doctor’s appointments, settling arguments between siblings…you know, all the mom stuff," she wrote.
"Amidst shattering records, breaking glass ceilings, and setting a new bar for style and glamour, we, her children, were always her priority," the American Fiction star continued. "As I often say, 'Diana Ross' the beloved global icon is legendary, but she doesn’t hold a candle to my Mama."
