'Euphoria's Hunter Schafer Makes Bold Claims About Co-Star Dominic Fike
Over a year after she and her ex Dominic Fike broke up, actress Hunter Schafer shared new insight into what led to the end of their relationship.
Schafer sat down with Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper for a new episode of the podcast, opening up about her experience dating her Euphoria co-star and claiming that one of the main reasons they broke up was "because I got cheated on for the first time...That like fundamentally changed me as a person."
"He was not perfect," she said of Fike's alleged behavior. "It's no secret, it's out there in the world...He's talked about this too, like in his song, he writes about it." In particular, fans seem to think Fike's song "Think Fast" has to do with how his relationship with Schafer ended.
At other points in the interview, Schafer praised Fike for how he dealt with the attention—negative and positive—around their public relationship, and how he treated her overall.
But she noted, "We both recognized that this is not working, and we can’t do this. We got to go our own separate ways," before saying of the breakup, "It was so, so hard because we really loved each other. He’s a really special person, and I love his soul and everything.”
Fans complimented Schafer in the comments on YouTube, praising her as "an amazing and loving person," and "a genuine beautiful soul."
Schafer and Fike met on the set of the HBO hit series Euphoria, with Schafer playing Jules while Fike portrayed Elliot. They first sparked dating rumors in early 2022, making their red carpet debut as a couple at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in March.
The two Euphoria actors were together until they announced their split in July 2023.
